Quality Assurance (QA) Technician II – Day Shift

What You’ll Be Doing:
Support quality and safety operations by coordinating project plans and ensuring compliance.
Perform routine audits, inspections, and inventory tracking for safety and janitorial supplies.
Inspect packaging lines each shift to verify product quality, packaging integrity, and labeling.
Conduct and document quality checks for every shop order and manage the hold area inventory.
Assist with quality holds, deviations, and corrective action decisions.
Perform environmental sampling and collaborate with third-party labs.
Calibrate and inspect equipment based on scheduled frequencies.
Track trends in analytical data and conduct root cause analysis as needed.
Review production paperwork to support product release decisions.
Maintain retained sample storage and rotate stock.
Participate in monthly audits and provide QA support to production teams.
Purchase and manage inventory of janitorial and safety supplies.
Mentor and support QA techs and encourage continuous improvement efforts.
What You Bring to the Role:
Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of food industry experience, or Associate’s degree + 5 years of experience.
HACCP certification and PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual).
Strong knowledge of SQF and food safety/GMP standards.
Experience with the CAPA process and quality auditing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft AX).
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
Fluency in English (written and verbal).
