Director of IT – EA Millwork Manufacturing Systems - Fully Remote

Job Overview

We are seeking a Director of IT to lead and oversee enterprise-wide IT and software development strategies within the millwork manufacturing sector. This role involves managing complex projects, driving innovation, and ensuring the successful implementation of technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience, strong technical expertise, and the ability to build strategic partnerships with business and client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

• Lead teams and oversee large-scale projects from design to implementation.
• Define and implement enterprise-wide IT and software development strategies.
• Guide system-level trade-offs and design decisions to ensure quality and consistency.
• Develop and execute plans to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Establish and maintain best practices for software engineering and development methodologies.
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve escalated quality concerns.

Project Management & Execution

• Oversee complex projects from requirements gathering to completion.
• Balance technical investments and adoption of existing systems.
• Ensure compliance with design reviews, security standards, and testing protocols.
• Evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, security, and production issues.
• Work cross-functionally to drive and deliver key initiatives on time.

Team Development & Supervision

• Lead, mentor, and develop IT teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Manage hiring, training, and performance evaluations for team members.
• Provide clear direction, assign responsibilities, and ensure accountability.
• Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 12+ years of relevant work experience in IT leadership.
• Proven track record in managing large, complex technology projects.
• Strong understanding of IT strategy, software development, and enterprise systems.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and driving digital transformation initiatives.
