Job Profile: Consulting Actuary / Client Relationship Manager

Position Overview

The Consulting Actuary / Client Relationship Manager (CRM) will support a book of business in the West Region with a strong emphasis on the Public Sector market. This multi-faceted role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth of the public sector retirement benefits consulting business.

Key Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include:
• Understanding clients’ issues, anticipating their needs, and navigating various potential solutions.
• Establishing rapport and building effective working relationships within client organizations.
• Innovating client deliverables and enhancing industry presence.
• Providing creative, strategic expertise to clients and colleagues on retirement benefits issues.
• Applying an understanding of complex actuarial concepts, methods, and applications.
• Collaborating with colleagues to build and maintain influential client relationships.
• Leading and participating in new business development initiatives targeting existing and prospective clients.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in employee benefits consulting or a related professional services environment.
• Exposure to retirement plan strategies, concepts, and implementation in the public sector.
• Undergraduate degree; ASA accreditation is required (FSA preferred).
• Proven ability to step into a direct client contact role.
• Strong business acumen and leadership ability.
• Demonstrated success in managing client relationships.
• Ability to analyze complex information and develop actionable solutions.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and prospects.

Salary: Starting at $150k and up!!!
