Opportunity: An esteemed consulting firm is looking for a Senior Health Consultant to join their team, preferably in the Atlanta area. The role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive health and welfare benefits consulting services across various sectors. The focus will be on public sector entities, including state and large local government health plans, offering significant client engagement and leadership opportunities.
Role: The Senior Health Consultant will work closely with a diverse team to meet clients’ health and welfare benefit needs promptly. Responsibilities include:
Leading strategic client discussions.
Creating and assessing RFPs for health and welfare benefits.
Conducting research on a range of benefit-related topics.
Managing multiple client projects and developing project plans.
Coordinating project management meetings and integrating efforts across practices.
Collaborating with consultants and vendors for client benefit.
Preparing reports and presentations.
Analyzing data to inform health plan management.
Growing consulting relationships and attracting new clients.
Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree with a strong analytical foundation.
At least 10 years of experience in health benefits, consulting, actuarial work, managed care, or underwriting.
Skilled in evaluating proposals and preparing RFPs.
Independent work capability, adaptable to new trends and client needs.
Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Proficient in project management and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
